Synopsis
JACK AND THE TALKBACK BEANSTALK is a new twist on an old tale.... It's lively music and fanciful story catapults Jack, the poor boy who is trying to save his family from losing their house, out of his somewhat bleak situation into a castle in the clouds and beyond.      Jack runs the neighborhood puppet theatre. He believes in the magic of theatre with his whole heart... If only he could make enough money to help out his family, his dad just lost his job and they are on the verge of having to move to Uncle Zeke's farm, which would only mean one thing worse.... Jack would be forced to give up his theatre!      Jack pleads for miracle! And suddenly with the song "THE MAGIC OF THEATRE, THE MIRACLE OF LIFE" jack's recent puppet creation, a beanstalk suddenly comes to life! And voila! Benny Zee, the French director, helps Jack to grow creatively and find his dream awaiting "BEYOND THE CLOUDS".      A Happy ending ensues when Mom announces that their new neighbor, Mr. Kearns, a local producer wants to hire Jack to bring his puppet theatre downtown to his big art center and offers Dad a job too doing all the marketing.      The audience joins in the fun participating in the sing-a-longs. The play appeals to all ages, from two to ninety-two, and plays well on tours and outdoors at festivals too.
